Job Summary

The George Washington University is seeking a highly skilled Laboratory Associate to join our research team. As a key member of our laboratory, you will be responsible for supporting the development and efficacy testing of vaccines, diagnostic tests, and therapeutic drugs against viral diseases.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure compliance with university safety standards and practices.
  • Perform mammalian cell maintenance in vitro and process animal blood into different components for use in immunological experiments.
  • Assist scientists with day-to-day experiments and conduct inventory and orders supplies.
  • Prepare technical reports and documentation of outcomes and assist in the preparation of manuscripts and grants.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, plus 2 years of relevant professional experience or a Master's degree or higher in a relevant area of study.
  • Skills in immunology-based techniques like flow cytometry and bacterial cloning.
  • Experience in microbiology, immunology, biochemistry, or virology.
