About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our team at The Oxford Rehabilitation & Health Care Center in Haverhill. As a Housekeeper, you will play a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure resident rooms are neat, clean, and free from odor.
  • Wet mop floors daily and shampoo and extract carpets as per schedule.
  • Attend to spills immediately and empty trash liners and clean containers.
  • Clean bed and rails with disinfectant and all countertops, windowsills, bedside tables, furniture, and over-the-bed areas.
  • Strip, seal, and refinish floors as per schedule and clean floor edges and corners to prevent build-up.
  • Clean windows and mirrors and personal items, pictures, decorations, flowers, etc.
  • Demonstrate correct safety techniques and contribute to effective communication and pleasant working conditions.
  • Comply with privacy practices and protect residents' health information.
Requirements
  • The ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
  • Must possess the ability to make independent decisions, follow instructions, and accept constructive criticism.
  • Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the general public.
  • Must maintain the care and use of supplies, equipment, etc., and maintain the appearance of housekeeping areas.
  • Must perform regular inspections of resident rooms/units for sanitation, order, and safety.
