Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Production Tool Maker to set up and maintain production of automotive stampings in Eyelet and/or Progressive stamping presses.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and adjust tooling in production equipment, submit first-piece samples, and maintain tool logs and production documentation.
- Perform maintenance on tooling, sharpening or fabricating as required, and diagnose machine failures.
- Assist and instruct machine operators and apprentices to maintain production and operate production equipment as required.
- Ensure products meet quality standards and make necessary adjustments.
- Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair tooling throughout the run.
- Develop new tooling for new parts and assist in corrective actions and improving tooling where necessary.
Qualifications
- 3-5 years of industrial experience or enrollment in the Tool and Die Apprenticeship from an accredited vocational/technical institute.
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to work independently.
- Effective communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work overtime and collaborate in a team environment.
Physical Demands
- The physical demands of this job include standing, walking, using hands to fingers, handle, or feel, talking, or hearing, and smelling.
- The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 45 pounds.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
