Responsibilities of the X-Ray Technologist

The X-Ray Technologist will perform radiographic procedures as requested by physicians, working in a fast-paced environment to produce high-quality images.

The successful candidate will be able to lift patients and transport them via wheelchair and stretcher, maintaining a safe and clean working environment.

They will gain patient cooperation by reducing anxieties and providing explanations of exams, answering patient questions and preparing patients for radiographic procedures.

The X-Ray Technologist will minimize radiation to patients and staff by practicing radiation protection techniques.

They will be willing to assist with other clinical duties as assigned.


Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma, a graduate degree from an accredited radiologic technologist program, and be ARRT certified.

They will also require a State of Tennessee Medical Board X-ray Operators License or be eligible to obtain one.

Prior orthopedic x-ray experience is preferred.
