Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Radiology Technologist to join our team at Advocate Aurora Health. As a Cardiovascular Invasive Special Procedures Tech, you will provide technical support during diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures, implementing procedural standards and protocols.

Key Responsibilities
  • Function as a scrub assistant, circulator, and monitor technician on a rotating basis during procedures.
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret hemodynamic and oximetric data.
  • Anticipate needs of the scrub team for sterile supplies, equipment connection, and operation.
  • Observe sterile technique when prepping, scrubbing, draping, assisting, and circulating.
  • Process digital imaging, including titles and labels, and demonstrate ability to view and transfer images.
  • Communicate and collaborate with physicians, managers, support personnel, and staff regarding technical issues to ensure reliability of results and quality assurance in imaging, hemodynamics, and oximetry.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Radiology.
  • Current RT license in the State of Illinois and current AART registry.
  • BCLS certification.
  • Ability to work staggered 8-10 hour shifts, take call, and work under stressful conditions and difficult situations.
  • Exposure to blood and body fluids, radiation, and ability to assist patients in transfer.
