This role necessitates a solid level of technical expertise coupled with exceptional communication abilities, as the End-User Support Specialist will engage with personnel across various organizational tiers.
Key Responsibilities:- Deliver on-site technical assistance for end-users.
- Identify and resolve hardware and software challenges, encompassing desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices.
- Address technical issues swiftly to reduce downtime.
- Install, configure, and sustain desktop and laptop hardware and software, including operating systems, applications, and peripheral devices.
- Convey technical information to end-users in a straightforward and concise manner.
- Collaborate with other IT departments to tackle intricate technical challenges.
- Log all technical support activities in the ticketing system.
- Contribute to the creation of knowledge articles and other support documentation.
- Engage in the testing and rollout of new hardware and software.
- Keep abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends.
Proficiency in Windows 10, desktop support, troubleshooting, service desk operations, help desk support, and customer service.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent is required; technical degree or certification is preferred.
- A minimum of 1 year of experience in desktop support, including familiarity with Microsoft Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office applications, and desktop hardware.
- Understanding of networking and telecommunications technologies.
- Outstanding customer service and communication skills.
- Capability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to lift and transport computer equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
