The Project Management Lead will report to the Head of Total Rewards Business Execution.
Total Rewards sits within Human Resources and encompasses multiple disciplines that support Citigroup employees, including:
- Compensation

The Business Execution team within Total Rewards is responsible for supporting Citigroup employees and the broader mission of Total Rewards through effective resource management, efficient routines, clear communications, and a detail-oriented approach to delivery.
This role will be responsible for leading various project management-related workstreams within Total Rewards, with the goal of effectively supporting the Head of Total Rewards and leadership team.
This individual will be instrumental in managing select key projects, tracking progress on priorities that span across all of Total Rewards, tracking milestones, ensuring timelines are adhered to, keeping documentation up to date, and general support of the Total Rewards Business Office.
ResponsibilitiesProject ManagementIndependently manages a docket of projects on behalf of the Head of Total Rewards.
Prepares and tracks:
- notes and meeting takeaways
- project plans
- progress reports
- documentation
- other project-oriented artifacts
Manages project calls, liaises with stakeholders, communicates effectively, delivers upon select work streams, and overall effective project management.
Technology InvestmentOversees all technology-related work streams for Total Rewards organization, including managing annual investment process, working with stakeholders to determine needs, implementing tools/resources, and general technology planning.
Strategic Planning & Initiative Tracking
Partners with leadership team on defining strategy for organization, articulating key priorities, and clearly and effectively communicating to key stakeholders.
Manages the tracking, progress, and delivery of projects and initiatives that span across Total Rewards.
KPI ManagementDefines, manages, monitors, and tracks key metrics that paint a picture of what the Rewards organization does, how we are progressing, and our contributions to Citigroup, Human Resources, and our employees.
Internal Initiative & Stakeholder ManagementSpearheads as needed engagements with internal partners, including Legal, Procurement, Third-Party, Compliance, Audit, Finance, and others.
Kicks off new initiatives, supports ad hoc requests, responds to inquiries, etc.
Must be able to effectively establish and build upon working relationships with these stakeholders.
Procedures & DocumentationMaintains documents and detailed, thorough records in support of Total Rewards Business Office.
Manages procedure creation and maintenance to ensure appropriate documentation of our routines and processes.
Storytelling & CommunicationsAble to support Total Rewards organization through effective communications, especially through the use of Microsoft PowerPoint decks.
Must be able to lead and support others in content creation for various projects and initiatives.
This role will also be responsible for managing governance and routines around Total Rewards communications to Citigroup and HR.
QualificationsPersonal and professional integrity is paramount.
3-5 years of project management experience.
PMP/PMI certification preferred.
Detailed-oriented and organized, exceptional time management skills, and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to develop project plans, manage individual deadlines and goals.
Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to build trusted relationships effectively and quickly.
Highly effective at influencing and relationship management skills.
Proactive leadership and motivational skills.
Advanced MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Bachelors/University degree, Masters degree preferred.
