Job Overview

Structural Integrity Associates, Inc. is seeking an experienced Engineering Program Manager to lead qualification projects for blast, wind, and seismic loading on mechanical and electrical equipment and other non-structural components. The successful candidate will assist clients in obtaining International Building Code (or other relevant standard) product certification based on analysis and/or testing under the supervision of a licensed structural engineer.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee certification programs, including full-scale shake table testing of equipment, and travel to labs as necessary
  • Direct client interactions and provide expert guidance on project requirements
  • Prepare quotes and proposals for clients, highlighting the value of our services
  • Develop reports and supporting documentation for IBC seismic and wind compliance, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail
  • Review product information provided by manufacturers to understand product variations and ensure compliance
  • Coordinate and delegate project tasks to Certification Engineers, ensuring timely completion and high-quality results
  • Coordinate and schedule laboratory testing, ensuring seamless execution and minimal disruptions
  • Manage project budgets, expenses, and schedules, maintaining transparency and accountability
  • Evaluate non-standard structural members and equipment components, applying expertise to ensure compliance
  • Perform structural analysis of equipment and nonstructural systems for wind and seismic loading, providing critical insights
  • Design anchorage for nonstructural components, ensuring safety and compliance
Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience in relevant industries, with a strong background in structural engineering
  • BS in Civil, Structural, Mechanical, or related engineering discipline from an ABET-accredited university
  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification, with a strong commitment to professional development
  • Demonstrated academic or professional experience using hand calculations and/or structural analysis computer software to calculate demands and capacities of structural systems
  • Self-motivated and eager to learn, with a strong desire to contribute to a dynamic team
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with clients and colleagues
  • Willingness and ability to travel (up to 20% of time), with a flexible approach to work arrangements
Preferred Qualifications
  • MS/MEng in Civil, Structural, Mechanical, or related engineering discipline from an ABET-accredited university
  • Licensed professional engineer in Civil or Mechanical Engineering, with a strong commitment to ongoing professional development
  • Proficient in ANSYS, ABAQUS, SAP2000, LS-DYNA, Matlab, Mathcad, AutoCAD/Revit, Solidworks, or other similar software, with a strong understanding of structural analysis and design principles
  • Computer programming skills related to database construction and querying, signal processing, or task automation, with a strong ability to apply technical expertise to real-world problems
  • Knowledge of seismic analysis, code-based steel and concrete design, blast analysis, nonlinear structural analysis, and other relevant technical areas
