Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform duties at the in-house shop.
  • Repair and maintain various truck models including Mack, International, Ford, Kenworth, and others.
  • Adhere to safety protocols, understand OSHA standards, and maintain a tidy workspace.
  • Utilize diagnostic software effectively.
  • Demonstrate proficiency with diagnostic tools and equipment.
  • Exhibit strong knowledge in diesel engine and hydraulic diagnostics and repairs.
  • Conduct complex operations involving engine, electrical, fuel, hydraulic, and brake systems.
  • Inspect equipment for mechanical or safety concerns.
  • Operate both basic and specialized tools competently.
  • Manage parts ordering efficiently.
  • Work autonomously or collaboratively within a team.
  • Demonstrate reliability and punctuality.

Qualifications:

  • A one-year certificate from an accredited technical school in diesel mechanics or a related field is advantageous.
  • Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.
  • A minimum of two years' experience in the repair and maintenance of electric, diesel, and gas highway vehicles.
  • A clean driver's license is mandatory.
  • Strong computer and mathematical skills are required.
