Safety Specialist

The Safety Specialist supports specific project needs by ensuring best practices are implemented, safety compliance requirements are met, and enhance a culture of safety. This role oversees all aspects of commercial construction projects, ensuring OSHA compliance, conducting daily safety meetings, completing accident reports, and conducting accident investigations. The Safety Specialist also ensures all personnel wear personal protective equipment (PPE) and conducts daily safety audits and inspections. Additionally, this role inspects power tools and heavy equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct daily safety meetings
Complete accident reports and conduct accident investigations
Ensure all personnel wear personal protective equipment (PPE)
Daily safety audits and inspections
Inspect power tools and heavy equipment
Requirements:
Minimum 3 years direct construction safety experience required
OSHA 30-hour Construction
OSHA 510 Required
Hazwoper 40 a plus
Advance knowledge of construction safety standards
Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
Proficient Microsoft Office skills
