The primary aim of the Switchgear Fabrication Assembler 3 role is to assist in the production of our switchgear offerings by assembling fabricated sheet metal in accordance with technical specifications.

Exhibit a foundational level of skill in performing tasks related to the fabrication and assembly of metal components that constitute enclosures for both low and high voltage applications, following the defined drawing packages and directives from the Engineering Department.
Interpret and apply basic manufacturing principles while reviewing specifications to determine assembly techniques, sequencing, and notifying various team members or departments of discrepancies in technical drawings as a proactive measure for quality assurance.
Ensure a safe, tidy, and well-structured workspace by adhering to safety protocols, regulations, quality benchmarks, and best practices to execute tasks effectively.
Maintain operational excellence by completing essential documentation such as Engineering Corrective Reports, Non-conformance Reports, Corrective Action Reports, and Material Transfer Requests.Essential Skills

Production and Processing:

Tools utilized include:

This role necessitates intermediate abilities (capable of reading, analyzing, and interpreting general business publications, professional journals, technical guidelines, or governmental regulations. Proficient in writing reports, business correspondence, and procedural manuals. Computers and Electronics:
Familiarity with computer hardware and software, including applications and programming such as Microsoft Office Business Suite.
Technical Proficiency:
Ability to read and process drawings and cut-sheet packages. Competent in measuring, squaring, and mathematical skills. Proficient in MIG or Flux-core welding.
Mathematical Skills:
This position requires intermediate skills (capable of calculating figures/discounts, proportions, area, etc.)
Manual Dexterity:
The ability to swiftly move your hand, arm, or both hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble objects.
Arm-Hand Steadiness: The ability to maintain steady hand and arm movements while holding your arm and hand in a fixed position.
Visualization Skills:
The capacity to envision how an object will appear after it is rearranged or when its components are moved or adjusted.
Blueprint Interpretation:
This role requires the ability to understand structural blueprints, drawings, client specifications, and industry standards to identify the necessary types, sizes, ratings, and quantities of materials to be included in the equipment provided.
Required Experience
1 year of experience in sheet metal fabrication or welding is preferred.
1 year of experience in operating heavy machinery, such as Forklifts, Extending Boom Lifts, Man Lifts, etc.
1 year of relevant experience in industrial, commercial construction, or similar sectors is preferred.
