At Point Eight Power, we are seeking a highly skilled Fabrication Assembler 3 to join our team. This role is responsible for contributing to the manufacturing of our switchgear product lines by assembling fabricated sheet metal according to drawing specifications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assemble fabricated sheet metal according to drawing specifications.
  • Interpret and apply entry-level manufacturing knowledge and principles while reading specifications to make determinations on enclosure assembly methods, sequencing, and advising various team members or departments of errors to technical drawings as a means of proactive quality measures.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and well-organized work area by complying with safety procedures, rules, quality standards, and best practices to perform tasks optimally.
  • Maintain operational excellence by completing necessary paperwork such as Engineering Corrective Reports, Non-conformance Reports, Corrective Action Reports, and Material Transfer Requests.
Requirements:
  • 1 year of experience in sheet metal fabrication or welding, preferred.
  • 1 year of experience in heavy machine operation, such as a Forklift, Extending Boom Lifts, Man Lifts, etc.
  • 1 year of relevant experience in industrial, commercial construction, or similar industries, preferred.
Skills:
  • Strong regard for guidelines, procedures, and integrity.
  • Ability to read and process drawings and cut-sheet packages.
  • Proficient in measuring, squaring, and math skills.
  • Ability to MIG or Flux-core weld.
Working Conditions:

The Fabrication Assembler 3 will work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with a focus on quality and safety. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team to achieve production goals.
