Job Description

The Lead Financial Analyst will oversee the financial accounting sector of Bleema Manufacturing Corporation, preparing comprehensive financial reports to monitor the organization's assets, liabilities, income and expenses, tax obligations, and other pertinent financial activities. This role ensures accurate and organized accounting records of all transactions by executing complex clerical and bookkeeping duties while adhering to established procedures for maintaining financial records.

Reports To: Financial Controller

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise the preparation of regular financial statements and the annual corporate report.
  • Ensure compliance of financial reports with generally accepted accounting principles or relevant financial reporting standards.
  • Assist external auditors by providing necessary statements and information for the annual audit process.
  • Review budget reports and collaborate with other departments to formulate annual budgets.
  • Prepare journal entries for accounting records.
  • Oversee management of fixed assets.
  • Maintain Balance Sheet sub-schedules.
  • Comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Identify and propose updates to accounting processes and procedures.
  • Prepare periodic (monthly) balance sheets, income statements, and profit and loss statements.
  • Maintain the general ledger.
  • Code invoices, establish new accounts, reconcile accounts, and close monthly financial records.
  • Reconcile bank accounts monthly, verify deposits, and respond to inquiries from financial institutions.
  • Verify payment of invoices related to accounts payable and ensure charges are allocated to the correct accounts.
  • Perform additional related duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the internal control system for accounting functions to mitigate risk.
  • May manage the scheduling, assignments, and daily workflow of subordinate accounting personnel.

Candidates should possess qualifications as an accountant with 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar role within the industry, preferably in a product-based business. Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel are essential, along with the capability to develop automated processes for extracting raw data from ERP systems and converting it into high-quality management information. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or related software is also required.
