Position Overview

The Senior Social Media Manager will be an enthusiastic and imaginative social and community specialist who aims to assist consumers in discovering and engaging with the Zevia brand and its beverages.

Reporting directly to the VP of Brand Marketing, this role demands a social media authority capable of driving strategic initiatives, leading both internal and external social resources, and educating the wider organization on best practices in social media.

In a rapidly evolving digital landscape, social media trends shift even quicker. We seek a team member who can navigate these changes and maintain relevance in our work and brand.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy for Zevia's primary social media channels, with a focus on TikTok and Instagram.
  • Articulate our brand's voice, tone, and identity while creating compelling reasons for consumers to engage with all @zevia accounts.
  • Innovate the use of social media to achieve business objectives, foster community engagement, and enhance brand visibility and loyalty.
  • Lead and manage a top-tier team specializing in content creation, production, publishing, and community management.
  • Oversee relationships with external partners, including creators and agencies.
  • Review and provide constructive feedback on creative content, ensuring alignment with brand standards.
  • Support cross-functional stakeholders with clear processes and best practices.
  • Assess social platforms, tools, and services against business goals, delivering actionable reports.
  • Identify engaging content that resonates with Zevia consumers and inspire original content development.
  • Monitor and report on social media KPIs on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
  • Manage an annual budget dedicated to social media initiatives.

Qualifications

Required education and experience include:

  • A minimum of 6 years of experience, including roles as a creator or editor in social media for brands.
  • Prior supervisory experience is preferred.
  • Experience in consumer packaged goods (CPG) is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with various content distribution channels, including TikTok, Instagram, X, Threads, YouTube, Facebook, and LinkedIn.
  • Exceptional social copywriting skills with a focus on a Gen-Z audience.
  • Experience in creating social media content directly within platforms (e.g., TikToks, Reels, Stories, Feed Content, and Carousels).
  • Knowledge of effective strategies across different social platforms.
  • Experience with social analytics tools.
  • Experience in launching and growing social channels from the ground up is a plus.
  • Understanding of the paid media landscape.
  • Experience working with executives, creators, freelancers, and agencies.
  • A genuine enthusiasm for Zevia's mission and products.
Work Environment

This position operates in a professional office setting, utilizing standard office equipment.

Physical Demands
