Grocery Department Supervisor

Weis Markets is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Grocery Manager to join our team. As a Grocery Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the Grocery department operations, including managing inventory levels, scheduling associates, and developing merchandising plans.
Key Responsibilities:- Oversee all aspects of Grocery department operations, including inventory management, associate scheduling, and merchandising plans.
- Promote excellent customer relations by instilling positive customer-focused behavior with associates.
- Manage inventory levels and review orders to ensure product quantities meet customer demand.
- Schedule all Grocery associates, oversee training, provide coaching and feedback, evaluate work, recognize and reward performance, and delegate work assignments to effectively utilize talents and abilities.
- Develop and implement merchandising plans, communicate with other departments and store management to create attractive displays, and utilize cross-merchandising techniques to meet sales and profit objectives.
- Maintain backroom and receiving area security and organization by promoting 5S procedures, responsible for general sanitation in the department, and follow cleaning schedules and department guidelines to ensure that work areas, equipment, counters, display cases, etc. are well maintained, clean and meet all health and OSHA requirements.
- Control expenses, including payroll, within budgeted expectations, minimize damages and shrink through proper product handling and rotation to prevent unnecessary losses.
- Ensure smooth function of department and store by cooperating with co-workers and superiors, responsible to continuously improve job performance.
- Education and/or experience completed or working towards a high school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Associate or bachelor's degree in business-related field desirable.
- Minimum (3) years' experience in management of retail/supermarket environment.
