Job Summary

This is a pivotal role that requires a seasoned professional to lead the Division's project controls program, overseeing contract and change management activities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction engineering, project management, or project controls, with experience in complex scheduling, cost control processes, claims/change preparation, and dispute resolution procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Interpret contract language to understand risks, rights, and responsibilities of project teams and guide project teams in managing contracts accordingly.
  • Review and analyze contract management records to provide technical advice or project control guidance to limit exposure or protect the company from additional risks.
  • Oversee project change and claim reporting and provide reporting to the Project Controls Director for Division-level reports.
  • Support projects in preparing for disputes resolution hearings and other alternative resolution methods meetings.
  • Assist in integrating company systems to track, monitor, and control costs or schedule and claim resolution.
  • Perform additional assignments as directed by management.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field required.
  • 7+ years' experience in construction engineering, project management, or project controls required.
  • Experience with complex scheduling, cost control processes, claims/change preparation, and dispute resolution procedures required.
  • Knowledge of construction contract agreements and change order processes required.
  • Knowledge of various methodologies for claims pricing and preparation required.
  • Proven written and verbal communication skills required.
  • Knowledge of accounting principles, including construction accounting, required.
  • Proven leadership and influential skills required.
