9/80 Work Schedule – Employees engage in a 9-day work cycle over 14 days, totaling 80 hours, with every other Friday off.

Position Overview:


We are in search of a Material Process Engineering Specialist to operate within a laboratory setting, executing a variety of analytical techniques including wet chemistry methods, moisture content assessments, particle size distribution evaluations, calorimetry, and mechanical property assessments.


Key Responsibilities:
1. Oversee projects and/or laboratory evaluations with general oversight.
2. Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to clarify and elucidate operational methodologies, practices, and protocols.
3. Propose improvements to systems and operational processes.
4. Strive to meet operational objectives for designated programs and projects, influencing departmental outcomes moderately.
5. Capability to secure a US Security Clearance.

Required Qualifications:
A Bachelor’s Degree coupled with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in Material Process Engineering. Alternatively, a Graduate Degree with at least 2 years of pertinent experience, or in the absence of a degree, a minimum of 8 years of applicable experience in the field.

Preferred Skills:
- Advanced degree in Chemistry is highly regarded.
- Experience in quality control laboratories is advantageous.
- Familiarity with various wet chemistry techniques, moisture content analysis, particle size distribution assessments, calorimetry, and mechanical property evaluations is desirable.
- Knowledge of American Standard Test Methods (ASTM), Military Specifications, and Weapons Specifications is beneficial.
- Experience in Energetics or Propellant fields is preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
- Project Management experience is a plus.
