Job Summary

This is an entry-level management position that focuses on supporting the day-to-day activities of Rooms Operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in the management of Rooms Operations, including Housekeeping, Recreation, Laundry, Staff, AYS, and Concierge/Guest Services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the management of Rooms Operations, including Housekeeping, Recreation, Laundry, Staff, AYS, and Concierge/Guest Services.
  • Support the management of front desk shifts, including opening and closing procedures, and ensure completion of assigned shift checklists.
  • Run and review critical information contained in room operations reports.
  • Understand the functions of various department operations, including Recreation, Laundry, Housekeeping, Bell Staff, AYS, Front Desk, and Concierge/Guest Services.
  • Operate all department equipment as necessary and report malfunctions.
  • Ensure employees have the proper supplies and uniforms.
  • Understand night audit procedures and be able to comprehend and utilize reports as necessary.
  • Understand and comply with loss prevention policies and procedures.
  • Communicate performance expectations to employees in accordance with job descriptions for each position.
  • Handle employee questions and concerns.
  • Effectively schedule employees to business demands and track employee time and attendance.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED; 3 years experience in the guest services, front desk, housekeeping, or related professional area.
  • OR
  • 2-year degree from an accredited university in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major; 1 year experience in the guest services, front desk, housekeeping, or related professional area.
