The specialist is accountable for ensuring the well-being and safety of the clients they serve, providing necessary supervision, and supporting household upkeep.

About Us:
Mount Olivet Rolling Acres (MORA) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting individuals of all ages with developmental disabilities, behavioral health challenges, and chronic medical conditions. With over 50 years of experience in the Twin Cities area, MORA offers a wide range of services, including Adult Day Services, Case Management, Community Supports, and various residential options.

Compensation:
Salary ranges from $16.50 to $22.40 per hour, with additional weekend and night shift differentials. A retention bonus of $1500 is available for full-time employees, paid out over one year.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist clients with daily living activities, medical needs, and mental health support.
  • Collaborate with Health Services and program supervisors to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Manage scheduling and attendance for client appointments, including documentation and referrals.
  • Oversee the exchange of medical information and maintain accurate medication records.
  • Ensure the safe use of medical equipment and participate in interdisciplinary team meetings.
  • Engage clients in community activities and uphold person-centered service principles.
  • Maintain a clean and safe living environment while supervising clients effectively.
  • Communicate clearly with clients and team members, utilizing appropriate language.
  • Complete mandatory training and adhere to company policies and procedures.
  • Document care-related data accurately and in a timely manner.

Qualifications:
Desirable:

  • Experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
  • 3-5 years of experience in healthcare coordination.
  • Strong leadership and teamwork skills.
Required:
  • Successful completion of background checks and company assessments.
  • Valid driver's license and insurance if using a personal vehicle for work.
  • Completion of Medication Administration training.
