Electrical Engineering Manager

HDT Global is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineering Manager to lead our team of engineers in designing and manufacturing leading-edge military expeditionary products and rugged industrial/commercial products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate all technical activities of assigned programs, including planning, scheduling, and managing personnel and engineering work.
  • Monitor engineering work for compliance to industry standards, company practices, and customer specifications.
  • Manage larger teams or teams requiring broader expertise, mentor and indirectly influence/lead Engineering Managers, supervise a team of engineers, and complete annual performance review process for direct reports.
  • Proactively drive leadership-sponsored initiatives and guide others in doing so, manage budget, cost, and schedule input for design assignments, set and achieve goals, and help direct reports in doing likewise.
  • Communicate clearly with other company personnel and the customer as required, participate in preparation of proposals, and support, communicate, reinforce, and defend the mission, values, and culture of the organization.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited school required; MS Engineering, PE license or MBA preferred.
  • Minimum of five to seven years of experience leading Electrical Engineering personnel required.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, demonstrated Leadership and Management skills, advanced technical expertise, ability to lead, coach, and mentor others, quality orientation, and high attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with customers, vendors, employees, and managers at all levels with the company, and strong computer skills with demonstrated proficiency in standard business software packages.
