Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Physician Advisor to join our team at Community Behavioral Health. As a key member of our clinical leadership team, you will be responsible for providing expert clinical guidance and oversight to ensure the highest quality of care for our members.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical leadership and oversight to ensure compliance with best practice standards and state regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with providers and stakeholders to troubleshoot clinical and medical matters, including member placement, coordination of care, and quality concerns.
  • Participate in quality reviews and participate in clinical and administrative meetings as a representative of medical affairs.
  • Develop and implement training and education programs for internal and external stakeholders, including care managers and providers.
  • Review cases from multiple sites and levels of care for medical necessity and perform peer review cases for disputed levels of care.
Requirements
  • Medical degree (MD or DO) and PA licensure.
  • Board certification in Adult or Child Psychiatry.
  • Minimum of 2 years of clinical psychiatry experience, including significant experience with inpatient care and substance abuse treatment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Work Environment

This position requires regular travel within the City of Philadelphia and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will be able to adapt to continuous changes and demands of the job.
