About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our team in the Emergency Department at WCS Healthcare Partners in Buffalo, New York.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will provide high-quality patient care and lead the healthcare team in delivering exceptional outcomes. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a dynamic team and contribute to the growth and success of WCS Healthcare Partners.

Responsibilities
  • Manage the care of adult and/or pediatric patients experiencing life-threatening problems requiring complex assessment, high-intensity therapies, and interventions.
  • Provide support, education, and comfort to patients and their families during their emergency room experience.
  • Closely communicate with all members of the healthcare team, as well as independently recognize the need for early intervention.
  • Prepare patients for surgery or diagnostic testing.
  • Administer IV insertion, intubation, medicine administration, blood drawing, and other medical procedures.
Requirements
  • Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN).
  • Current New York State RN license (or willingness to obtain).
  • 1-2 years of acute care experience in this specialty.
  • BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
  • ACLS certification from the American Heart Association.
  • PALS certification from the American Heart Association.
What We Offer
  • A competitive salary: $2100-$2700 per week, based on 12-hour shifts and 36 hours per week.
  • A comprehensive benefits package including a 401k retirement plan and weekly pay.
