The Clinical Pharmacy Specialist position plays a critical role in providing clinical support to customers through various programs, including adherence, immunizations, and MTM interventions. This role ensures compliance with regulatory guidelines, company policies, and procedures.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide healthcare services to customers, such as patient consultation, medication management, immunizations, diagnostic testing, and patient outcomes services, in accordance with regulatory compliance and Rite Aid policies and procedures.
- Engage with customers telephonically and in-person by anticipating their needs and proactively offering services.
- Utilize clinical expertise and decision-making skills to evaluate and discuss MTM and other healthcare opportunities with customers, while collaborating with prescribers.
Qualifications
- Education: PharmD required
- Licenses/Certifications: Active Pharmacist license in good standing for the state in which one works and eligible for licensure in additional states; Immunization Certification through an accredited organization; Pharmacist-based Point of Care Testing Certificate Program through an ACPE-accredited organization (preferred)
- Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Excellent verbal and written skills; technology savvy; experience using Windows-based software, including the Microsoft Office suite
Work Experience
- 3 years of experience in working as a registered pharmacist in a clinical or retail setting (required)
