Responsibilities:

  • Manage the clinical experience of 8-10 students to achieve the curriculum and nursing program objectives.
  • Provide a diverse learning environment that supports students through various teaching methods, a curriculum that builds on previous knowledge, and a learning sequence that moves from simple to complex concepts.
  • Establish good working relationships and regular communication between instructors, full-time faculty, and students to enhance the clinical experience.
  • Maintain credentials, licensure, and certifications required for teaching and the profession of nursing.
  • Coordinate clinical patient assignments with facility unit managers/supervisors according to course learning objectives, needs of patients, and availability of learning opportunities.

This position requires a minimum of two years of clinical experience, strong organizational, prioritization, and time management skills, as well as excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Requirements:

  • Minimum MSN Degree or currently enrolled in a graduate nursing program.
  • Current, unencumbered New York State (NYS) nursing license as a registered nurse.
  • Current BLS Certification.
