Job Summary

Amentum is seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team. As a Quality Assurance Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and safety of aircraft maintenance activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and evaluate maintenance actions to ensure compliance with technical manuals, directives, and instructions.
  • Conduct surveillance and spot checks to identify potential quality issues.
  • Investigate safety incidents and assist in preparing reports.
  • Review maintenance forms and deficiency data to identify trends and problem areas.
  • Assist in drafting and developing work instructions and maintenance procedures.
  • Operate the NALCOMIS OOMA database information system.
  • Review technical publications and directives to determine their application to maintenance activities.
  • Deal with customers in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Comply with safety regulations and procedures.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Five or more years of general experience in aircraft maintenance, including one year as a Quality Assurance Representative.
  • Satisfactory completion of Armed Forces aircraft mechanic and/or airframe courses or airframe and power plant technical schools.
  • A & P license preferred.
  • Valid Driver's license and ability to meet Government/Company licensing/qualification requirements.
  • Completion of NALCOMIS (Optimized) OMA Quality Assurance Administration course.
  • Must have completed Aviation Corrosion Control Course.
  • Preferred candidate will have been fuel cell entrance qualified and completed Confined Space Entry Authority Course.
Working Conditions

The Quality Assurance Specialist will work in a variety of environments, including aircraft maintenance hangars and outside. The individual may be required to respond to a wide range of operational circumstances, including extreme weather conditions and rudimentary infrastructure.

The Quality Assurance Specialist may be exposed to high intensity noise levels, extreme changes in temperature, materials identified on Safety Data Sheets, working on or around aircraft and machinery.
