Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Department Manager to join our team at McDonald's. As a Department Manager, you will be responsible for leading shifts, ensuring excellent customer service, and maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and cleanliness.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Shift Leadership: Lead shifts, making sure customers receive a fast, accurate, and friendly experience every visit.
  • Team Management: Provide leadership to crew members and other managers during shifts to ensure great quality, service, and cleanliness.
  • Performance Monitoring: Monitor performance during shifts, take action to ensure the team meets McDonald's standards, and communicate with the next Shift Manager to prepare them for a great shift.
  • Target Achievement: Meet targets during shifts, complete paperwork timely, and help assigned departments meet their goals.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Food Safety: Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Internal Communication: Communicate effectively with team members, management, and customers to ensure seamless operations.
  • Exceptional Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service, including digital ordering, to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Quality Food Production: Ensure high-quality food production, presentation, and packaging.
  • Daily Maintenance and Cleanliness: Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including daily cleaning and maintenance tasks.
  • Training: Provide training to team members to ensure they meet McDonald's standards.
  • Safety and Security: Ensure a safe and secure work environment, including emergency procedures and protocols.
  • Inventory Management: Manage inventory, including ordering, receiving, and stocking supplies.
  • People Practices: Support recruitment, retention, engagement, and other people-related initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Leadership Experience: Previous leadership experience, preferably in a restaurant, retail, or hospitality environment.
  • Flexibility: Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to stand and walk for long periods, bend, stretch, twist, or reach out, and lift, push, pull, and carry objects up to 40 pounds occasionally and 10 pounds frequently.
