Job Summary

The Nurse Assistant in the Med Surg/Telemetry Department provides basic nursing care to non-critical patients and assists with activities of daily living under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse in charge of the team and/or unit.

Responsibilities
  • Assists with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Provides basic nursing care, such as taking vital signs and assisting with medications.
  • Maintains a safe environment by ensuring that patients' rooms are clean and organized.
Qualifications
  • Current Certified Nursing Assistant certificate upon hire, preferred.
  • Current BLS within 30 days of hire and maintain current.
  • Possesses knowledge of Medical Terminology.
  • Minimum six months' previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician's office preferred.
