Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage directly with prominent clients in the development and implementation of new server hardware and firmware (BIOS/RAID/DMI/FRU).
  • Resolve technical challenges by collaborating with internal and field engineers to identify, track, root cause, and address issues.
  • Support manufacturing and customer service teams internally.
  • Contribute to the design, construction, and testing of evaluation units to fulfill client specifications for next-generation server products.
  • Balance design considerations across cost, cooling and power efficiency, form factor, reliability, and optimization for specific project requirements.
  • Evaluate cutting-edge hardware and firmware technologies at both component and platform levels.
  • Conduct and analyze power and performance benchmark assessments on new server hardware.
  • Enhance standard testing procedures to drive advancements in new technologies and better satisfy client needs.
  • Foster and maintain strong working relationships with clients, vendors, and internal teams to support overall company goals.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering preferred, or equivalent industry experience.
  • In-depth understanding of major server component architecture and design (motherboards, hard drives, RAM, CPUs, heat sinks, fans, etc.).
  • Familiarity with significant power-related components (power supplies, PDUs, VRMs, etc.) and control interfaces (PMBus, IPMI, etc.).
  • Ability to troubleshoot x86-based systems and diagnose hardware and software problems.
  • Proficient in managing a variety of operating systems, with knowledge of Python, RedHat, SuSE, and Debian Linux-based distributions considered a plus.
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, small team environment.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong attention to detail and process.
  • Self-motivated and driven.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or 3+ years of relevant experience.

Salary: $91,500K - $123,500K+/DOE
