Job Title: Sr. Cloud Engineer

We're on a mission to create a sustainable, integrated, and human-centered ecosystem for the emerging industry. Our goal is to develop an electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) vehicle and the ground-to-air infrastructure to support it.

As a Sr. Cloud Engineer, you'll play a crucial role in designing, deploying, and administering cloud-based solutions in Azure. You'll ensure our cloud systems adhere to organizational, industry, and security standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, deploy, and maintain complex Azure-based infrastructure and solutions, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze requirements for cloud-based projects.
  • Work with consultants and vendors on projects and/or for additional support.
  • Manage and optimize our data analytics infrastructure (Databricks and Snowflake), including monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintaining high availability.
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts and infrastructure as code templates for deploying Azure resources.
  • Assist with escalated support related to our Azure environment.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Azure-based infrastructure and applications.
  • Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments to ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices in collaboration with our security team.
  • Manage and monitor Azure resources, including virtual machines, storage accounts, and network components.
  • Routinely review and suggest improvements to our Azure environment.
  • Design and implement disaster recovery and business continuity strategies.
  • Act as a mentor to other cloud engineers and provide technical guidance and support.
  • May require up to 10% of domestic and international travel.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, cybersecurity, or a related field required.
  • 5+ years of experience in IT infrastructure management and engineering, with a focus on Azure required.
  • Experience with DevOps and CI/CD tools, such as Azure DevOps, Bitbucket, and Jenkins.
  • Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies, such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Experience managing Databricks and Snowflake infrastructure.
  • Strong understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, and load balancing.
  • Experience with PowerShell, Python, or other scripting languages.
  • Microsoft Azure certifications, such as Azure Solutions Architect Expert or Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, are preferred.
