About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Field Service Technician to join our team at AVI-SPL. As a key member of our technical staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service support to our customers at their sites, ensuring the smooth operation of their audiovisual systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Read and interpret electronic schematics and architectural blueprints to identify and resolve technical issues.
  • Perform preventative maintenance visits to ensure the stability and optimal performance of client-based systems.
  • Clean and maintain various AV equipment, including camera lenses, monitors, and equipment fans.
  • Accurately complete job documentation and provide detailed reports as needed.
  • Field installation and support of control programs, including AMX, Crestron, and firmware.
  • Provide necessary training and support for next-level service technicians and end-user clients.
  • Adhere to and understand OSHA standards for all phases of the job.
  • Setup and troubleshoot various video codecs and video teleconferencing hardware.
  • Travel to various job sites as required.
Requirements
  • Effectively communicate with employees, customers, and colleagues.
  • Ability to use hand and power tools in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Ability to work and think independently, ensuring timely completion of tasks.
  • Basic computer knowledge and understanding of signal flow for audio, video, and control.
  • Ability to manage small to medium projects and solder/crimp connectors.
  • Minor programming capability (AMX/Creston) for changes and troubleshooting.
  • Valid Driver's License and a Motor Vehicle Record that meets AVI-SPL driving standards.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of audiovisual integration experience.
  • Formal education in Electronics or a related field.
  • Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Preferred external training: OSHA 30-Hour Construction Course, Avixa (InfoComm) Quick Start to the Audio-Visual Industry, and Crestron Professional Installation.
