The Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) plays a vital role in ensuring high-quality, patient-centered care and coordination of all functions in the Pediatric Emergency Department. In collaboration with the management team, the CNC directs, monitors, and evaluates nursing care in accordance with established policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high-quality care.
- Participate in the ongoing assessment of the quality of patient care services provided in the department.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts and other managers to create an environment of teamwork that supports improved outcomes and service.
- Support a patient-first philosophy and engage in service recovery when necessary.
- Support the efforts of the facility to improve engagement by operationalizing current nursing strategies.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
- Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
- PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
- Trauma Nursing Core Course certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
- Registered Nurse with an Associate Degree or Registered Nurse Diploma.
