We are seeking a skilled OR Surgical Technologist PRN to join our team at Parham Doctors' Hospital. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our operating rooms and providing exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with the nursing care of patients under the supervision of an OR Registered Nurse
- Function as a sterile scrub person caring for patients undergoing surgery within the OR suite
- Set up the sterile surgical field using aseptic technique, utilizing knowledge of human anatomy and physiology and the physicians' preferences for surgical instrumentation
- Assist the circulating Registered Nurse with operating room set up, equipment, and positioning of the surgical patient as well as break down of instrument table
- Perform supply management duties
- Surgical Technology Program graduate or equivalent training
- Certified Surgical Technologist and Licensed with the Commonwealth of Virginia
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Surgical Technician (preferred)
