Job OverviewQLM, Skilled Staffing Solutions is currently seeking a skilled Millwright/Mechanical Traveler to join our team in the southeast region, including SC, NC, and Georgia. Millwright/Mechanical experience is required, with a focus on safe work practices, dependability, and a commitment to completing projects.

You will be responsible for dismantling machinery, transferring equipment, interpreting blueprints/schematics, and installing equipment. The ideal candidate has in-depth knowledge of hydraulics, belt systems, motors, and other industrial machine mechanisms essential for job procedures. Must be a team player with strong attention to detail. In this position, you should also be able to troubleshoot, and perform repairs and be a problem solver.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Disassemble and reassemble equipment for repair or transportation.
  • Build the foundation for machines.
  • Construct and install large industrial machinery and equipment.
  • Review and interpret schematics, and blueprints to determine work procedures.
  • Transfer equipment to the applicable site for maintenance to avoid contamination or safety hazards.
  • Work with a range of hand tools including measuring tools, welding and brazing equipment.
  • Determine which machines, techniques, and tools to use when moving equipment and completing jobs.


Millwrights often work in the field doing comprehensive industrial and mechanical projects.


QLM, Skilled Staffing Solutions is searching for qualified millwrights who have proven experience with industrial and construction equipment installation, demolition, troubleshooting and repair.

Millwright skills include, but are not limited to:


  1. Installation, demo and moving industrial machinery and equipment
  2. Maintenance and repair of industrial machinery and equipment
  3. Use of hand and power tools
  4. Interpreting blueprints and schematic drawings
  5. Ability to follow all safety guidelines while producing top-notch work product
  6. Ability to work with others in a team environment while also being able to work on tasks independently.
