Position Overview

Summary

REACH Services, Inc. is seeking a dedicated Lead Teacher for our Head Start program, focusing on early childhood education. This role is pivotal in shaping the educational experiences of young children in a supportive and professional environment.

Position Type: Full-time (10 months)
Hours: 7:30 am - 3:30 pm
Location: Fayetteville, Ga

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and engaging daily activities.
  • Prepare educational materials that align with planned lessons.
  • Ensure a safe, clean, and organized learning environment.
  • Observe and assess children's development across various domains.
  • Document observations and provide referrals as needed.
  • Conduct home visits and parent-teacher conferences.
  • Collaborate effectively with co-teachers, center staff, and coordinators.
  • Maintain accurate records of children's files and attendance.
  • Participate in required training sessions and meetings.
  • Attend IEP meetings when necessary.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field.
  • Career Level 8 or above in the GaPDS with a minimum of three years of experience working with children aged 3-5.
  • Comprehensive understanding of preschool children's developmental stages.

Preferred Skills

  • Familiarity with Developmentally Appropriate Practices.
  • Strong planning and coordination abilities for classroom activities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work collaboratively.
  • Strong organizational skills with proficiency in computer and internet use.
