Lead Teacher for Early Childhood Education

Summary
REACH Services, Inc. is seeking a dedicated Lead Teacher for our Head Start program, focusing on early childhood education. This role is pivotal in shaping the educational experiences of young children in a supportive and professional environment.
Position Type: Full-time (10 months)
Hours: 7:30 am - 3:30 pm
Location: Fayetteville, Ga
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and engaging daily activities.
- Prepare educational materials that align with planned lessons.
- Ensure a safe, clean, and organized learning environment.
- Observe and assess children's development across various domains.
- Document observations and provide referrals as needed.
- Conduct home visits and parent-teacher conferences.
- Collaborate effectively with co-teachers, center staff, and coordinators.
- Maintain accurate records of children's files and attendance.
- Participate in required training sessions and meetings.
- Attend IEP meetings when necessary.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field.
- Career Level 8 or above in the GaPDS with a minimum of three years of experience working with children aged 3-5.
- Comprehensive understanding of preschool children's developmental stages.
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with Developmentally Appropriate Practices.
- Strong planning and coordination abilities for classroom activities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines and work collaboratively.
- Strong organizational skills with proficiency in computer and internet use.
