Position Overview

Summary
REACH Services, Inc. is seeking a dedicated professional for the role of Lead Teacher in our Head Start program. This full-time position offers a collaborative work environment where your contributions significantly impact children's early learning experiences.

Role Details
Type: Full-time (10 months)
Hours: 7:30 am - 3:30 pm
Location: Fayetteville, GA

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and engaging daily activities.
  • Prepare educational materials that align with the planned curriculum.
  • Ensure a safe, clean, and organized learning environment.
  • Assess and monitor children's development across various domains.
  • Document observations and make necessary referrals.
  • Conduct home visits and parent-teacher conferences.
  • Collaborate effectively with co-teachers, center staff, and coordinators.
  • Maintain accurate records of children's files and attendance.
  • Participate in required training sessions and meetings.
  • Attend IEP meetings as needed.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field.
  • Minimum of three years of experience working with children aged 3-5.
  • Career Level 8 or above in the GaPDS.
  • Comprehensive understanding of preschool developmental stages.

Preferred Skills

  • Familiarity with Developmentally Appropriate Practices.
  • Strong planning and coordination abilities for classroom activities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work effectively with individuals and groups.
  • Strong organizational skills and proficiency in computer and internet use.
