REACH Services, Inc. is seeking a dedicated professional for the role of Lead Teacher in our Head Start program. This full-time position offers a collaborative work environment where your contributions significantly impact children's early learning experiences.
Role Details
Type: Full-time (10 months)
Hours: 7:30 am - 3:30 pm
Location: Fayetteville, GA
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and engaging daily activities.
- Prepare educational materials that align with the planned curriculum.
- Ensure a safe, clean, and organized learning environment.
- Assess and monitor children's development across various domains.
- Document observations and make necessary referrals.
- Conduct home visits and parent-teacher conferences.
- Collaborate effectively with co-teachers, center staff, and coordinators.
- Maintain accurate records of children's files and attendance.
- Participate in required training sessions and meetings.
- Attend IEP meetings as needed.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field.
- Minimum of three years of experience working with children aged 3-5.
- Career Level 8 or above in the GaPDS.
- Comprehensive understanding of preschool developmental stages.
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with Developmentally Appropriate Practices.
- Strong planning and coordination abilities for classroom activities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines and work effectively with individuals and groups.
- Strong organizational skills and proficiency in computer and internet use.
