Job Overview

Core Objective: To ensure the golf course turf and landscaped areas are maintained in excellent condition and visually appealing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute all routine maintenance tasks for greens and gardens as assigned, including the operation of power tools, topdressing, and care of flower beds and color displays.
  • Uphold the professional appearance and functionality of greens cups, ball marks, sand traps, cart paths, ballwashers, tee baskets, hazard markers, directional signage, driving range markers, and the range ball storage area.
  • Receive, load, unload, and securely store materials weighing up to 80 lbs as directed.
  • Continuously clear trash and debris from the golf course to maintain high standards of cleanliness and safety.
  • Communicate guest requests to supervisors promptly and professionally.
  • Adhere to and promote all policies and procedures of Temecula Creek Inn.
  • Report any suspicious activities and hazardous conditions immediately.
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety in work areas at all times.
  • Practice safe working habits consistently to prevent injuries, including the safe operation of all machinery.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations among all Golf Course Maintenance staff and proper handling of equipment.
  • Attend all required meetings as instructed.
  • Perform additional tasks, including cross-training, as needed.

Qualifications:

Knowledge and Education: Proficient in English and capable of following simple verbal instructions. Experienced in the use, upkeep, and repair of relevant tools and equipment. Must possess a solid understanding of planting and fertilization techniques. Prior experience in greens maintenance and gardening is preferred.

Skills: Detail-oriented, organized, and efficient. Committed to safety and high-quality standards in production and service. Exhibits a courteous and friendly demeanor. A reliable team player with a focus on customer service. Able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Physical Requirements: Stands and walks approximately 70% of the shift, with the potential to walk up to 2 miles. Sits and drives about 30% of the shift. Occasionally required to lift and move objects weighing up to 80 lbs over short distances. Bending, stooping, reaching, and lifting are routine tasks. Must have the flexibility and reflexes to operate power-driven machinery and endure prolonged sun exposure.
