EMS Diesel Technician II

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Engine Specialist to join our team at Cox Automotive. As a key member of our fleet maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing certified DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs on a variety of truck equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform minor adjustments and repairs on electrical, brake, and cooling systems, as well as starters, alternators, and fan clutches.
- Participate in regular safety training and maintain a culture of safety and compliance.
- Document work performed, parts used, and findings on repair orders using our proprietary application, PRONTO.
- Communicate with management, team members, and dispatch via Microsoft Office products and other communication methods.
- Perform all work in compliance with organizational safety, health, and environmental policies, as well as federal regulations.
- Obtain parts from approved vendors as necessary for repairs.
- Accurately complete DOT forms and other documentation in a timely manner.
- Independently manage parts inventory and equipment on company-issued service trucks.
- Work with a high degree of independence and manage own daily schedule.
- Provide excellent customer service and assess customer needs to resolve problems or satisfy expectations.
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- Valid driver's license and meet Cox Automotive Mobility minimum driving qualification standards.
- Valid DOT Medical Card or ability to obtain one prior to employment or within 72 hours of hire.
- Possess and supply a set of hand tools necessary to perform required job duties.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Power Technician on medium to heavy-duty vehicle repair or equivalent combination of technical education/certifications/skill/experiences.
