Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced senior-level diesel technician to join our team at Ryder in Minneapolis, Minnesota. As a diesel diagnostic mechanic reefer technician, you will be responsible for performing vehicle maintenance and repair duties, including routine preventative maintenance, basic diagnostics and repairs, and complex mechanical inspections and repairs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform vehicle maintenance and repair duties, including routine preventative maintenance and basic diagnostics and repairs.
  • Diagnose complex mechanical and electronic problems utilizing diagnostic computer when applicable.
  • Complete complex and detailed mechanical inspections and repairs with minimal supervision.
  • Replace defective components as instructed.
  • Work unsupervised on most tasks.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Vocational or technical certification, post-secondary degree, or technical certifications preferred.
  • BASIC TOOLS REQUIRED.
  • Demonstrated aptitude and applied experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines, including routine preventative maintenance, basic diagnostics and repairs, and complex mechanical inspections and repairs.
  • Three (3) years or more relevant work experience preferred.
  • Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) CLASS A preferred.
  • All other certification as required by location, required.
