As a Welding Operations Expert, you will play a crucial role in the fabrication and repair of various metal structures and components. Your expertise in welding techniques and equipment will ensure the integrity and durability of our products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute sanding, grinding, cutting, and welding tasks on company assets while adhering to safety regulations and company policies.
- Perform post-welding grinding on metal components.
- Utilize MIG and Arc welding machinery to join steel materials.
- Construct steel parts for containers and other applications.
- Maintain a tidy and secure work environment in line with company and OSHA standards.
- Complete necessary documentation using the company's computer systems.
- Employ standard shop tools and measuring instruments effectively.
- Utilize plasma cutters or torches for metal cutting tasks.
- Engage in related activities such as flame cutting, bending, and forming of metal and plastic components.
- Install lids and wheels on containers as required.
- Apply paint to newly repaired or fabricated containers.
- Assist with additional projects or tasks within the workshop as needed.
- Foster a positive work environment through effective communication and collaboration with colleagues and management.
- Perform other assigned duties as necessary.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
- Physical capability to meet job demands, including prolonged standing, lifting, and maneuvering in confined spaces.
- Strong welding and mechanical skills.
- Proficient in MIG/ARC and stick welding techniques.
- Experience with cutting torches and plasma cutting equipment.
- Familiarity with small shop tools and their operation.
- Ability to safely operate a forklift.
Working Conditions:
- Exposure to typical workshop elements such as noise, heat, dust, and fumes.
- Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
- Possession of a valid driver's license, if applicable.
- Successful completion of pre-employment assessments is required.
- Ability to read and communicate effectively in English.
