Job Title: Aerospace Systems Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Aerospace Systems Specialist to support our existing System Engineering activities in support of the NASA project Near Earth Observation Surveyor (NEOS). The successful candidate will have a demonstrated knowledge of systems engineering practices, as it applies to the aerospace industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support system engineering activities for the NEOS project
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders
  • Participate in fabrication, assembly, and testing operations

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, physics, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a system engineering or closely related role
  • Working knowledge of system engineering verification activities and requirements management
  • Ability to generate and follow technical documentation
  • Meticulous record-keeping skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be a US citizen with the ability to obtain a US Government security clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MS in systems engineering or a related field
  • Spacecraft/payload development experience
  • Emphasis in electrical systems engineering
  • Optical or electro-optical experience
  • Hardware/system assembly integration and test experience
  • Test planning and procedure development experience
  • Understanding of space environment
  • Experience with requirements management tools (DOORS, Visure, Team Center SE Etc.)
  • Significant presentation preparation and delivery experience
