POSITION OVERVIEW

The Senior Risk Advisor will design and execute safety, regulatory, and best practice risk mitigation programs for our clientele. This role will be part of the HUB Risk Services Division, collaborating with certified safety, property, security, and environmental professionals experienced across various sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver exceptional service to clients in the designated region while also supporting additional clients across HUB International's North American network and Specialty Practices.
  • Act as a proactive Risk Consultant with a demonstrated history of managing and servicing large national accounts across diverse industries.
  • Engage with both internal and external stakeholders in a dynamic environment to meet project deadlines, providing constructive feedback and direction to facilitate positive business outcomes.
  • Exhibit proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
  • Utilize digital communication platforms effectively, including ZOOM, MS Teams, and GoToMeeting.
  • Oversee and coordinate large-scale project activities for field consultants, which may involve multiple locations and organization-wide risk enhancement service plans.
  • Conduct loss analysis and trend assessments to pinpoint areas of focus for clients.
  • Perform audits and evaluations at client facilities.
  • Facilitate training sessions for management and employees as required.
  • Build and maintain relationships with insurance carriers and vendor partners.
  • Provide advocacy and oversight for insurance carrier loss control inspections and recommendations.
  • Contribute to regional and divisional initiatives as needed or requested by HUB Risk Services.

QUALIFICATIONS

Essential Requirements:

  • A minimum of three years of experience as a safety/risk/loss control consultant or technician within insurance brokerage or carrier environments, or as a safety/risk manager in an industrial setting.
  • Generalist experience preferred, with a focus on Construction, Transportation, and Healthcare being advantageous.
  • Experience in property risk management is a plus.
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Safety and Health or a related Engineering field is preferred.
  • Progress towards professional designations is desirable.
  • Strong understanding of OSHA, MSHA, DOT, EPA, and/or NFPA standards is essential.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are critical.
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite and video conferencing tools is required.
  • Experience in spreadsheet analysis, report writing, and presentation development is necessary.
  • A high degree of self-motivation and discipline is essential.
  • Experience in risk management/loss control within the insurance sector is preferred.
  • Willingness to travel and work beyond standard hours as needed.
  • OSHA 500 Authorized Trainer in Construction and OSHA 501 Trainer in General Industry Certification is preferred.
  • Experience in CAT Response, Data Analytics, and Emergency Response is a plus.
  • Familiarity with risk technology, digital solutions, AI, and analytics is advantageous.
  • Designations such as CSP, ARM, CFPS, ABCP, CSHM, etc., are beneficial.
  • Brokerage experience is a plus.
