Shift Availability: Morning Shifts
TruCare Community is a premier assisted living establishment dedicated to serving the elderly population. We are in search of a proficient and compassionate Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) who thrives in a dynamic environment and is committed to enhancing the quality of life for our residents. The primary focus of our ALW LVN will be on residents participating in the Assisted Living Waiver (ALW) program.
Essential Qualifications:
- Must successfully pass DOJ FBI live scan criminal background check as required by licensing authorities.
- Must clear pre-employment physical and tuberculosis test.
- High school diploma or GED is mandatory.
- Flexible scheduling is required; availability on weekends and holidays is a plus.
- Prior experience in medication administration is advantageous.
- Conducts and maintains thorough resident assessments and personalized service plans.
- Effectively communicates with the Administrator, residents, and their families regarding any changes in health status or concerns.
- Oversees and supports staff training and medication management.
- Ensures all resident daily living activities are completed in accordance with individualized service plans.
- Responsible for interviewing, hiring, training, scheduling, and supervising healthcare personnel, along with facilitating staff meetings and training sessions.
- Manages all communications with physicians, medical updates, and pharmacy orders.
- Coordinates dietary requirements with the Dining Coordinator and Dietician.
- Maintains and oversees all medication orders, inventory, and supplies.
- Provides emergency medical assistance and wound care as needed.
- Performs additional duties as assigned by administration.
