NIGHT CHARGE NURSE

Martin County Hospital District is seeking a skilled and compassionate Night Charge Nurse to join our team. As a key member of our nursing department, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our 18-bed facility.

Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of nursing staff members assigned to the shift.
  • Assign duties and examine work for exactness, neatness, and conformance to policies and procedures.
  • Ensure the highest degree of quality patient care is maintained at all times.
  • Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team to achieve our mission of providing exceptional care to our patients.

Requirements:
  • Must possess a Nursing Degree from an accredited school of nursing.
  • Current Registered Nurse license certified by the State of Texas or licensure from a state within the nursing compact required.
  • Hold current CPR/BLS or obtain upon hire.
  • Credentials in an advanced cardiac life support course (e.g. ACLS or hospital equivalent) preferred.
  • Credentials in a nationally recognized pediatric advanced life support course (e.g. PALS or ENPC) preferred.
  • TNCC preferred.
  • A minimum of 1 year nursing experience is required.
  • Must possess typing skills and general computer experience.
  • Must possess leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Must possess skills in time management and organization.
  • Must be able to read, write and speak the English language in an understandable manner.
