Martin County Hospital District is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in the Med Surg department. As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, administering medications and treatments as ordered by physicians, and directing, monitoring, and evaluating care delegated to non-licensed personnel.
Responsibilities:
• Provide total nursing care, assessment, documentation, planning, implementation, evaluation, and discharge process of each assigned patient to attain optimal health and continuity of care.
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered by physicians and in keeping with the current clinical nursing practice.
• Direct, monitor, and evaluate care delegated to non-licensed personnel ensuring that the plan of care is carried out in a safe environment.
Requirements:
• Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing.
• Current Registered Nurse license certified by the State of Texas or licensure from a state within the nursing compact required.
• Hold current CPR/BLS or obtain upon hire.
• Credentials in an advanced cardiac life support course (e.g. ACLS or hospital equivalent) preferred.
• Credentials in a nationally recognized pediatric advanced life support course (e.g. PALS or ENPC) preferred.
• TNCC preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
• One (1) year experience as a Professional Registered Nurse in a hospital environment preferred.
