Position Title: Nutritional Services Assistant
Department: Dietary Services
Reports To: Director of Dining Services
Employment Status: Non-Exempt
Work Schedule: Part-Time (20-30 hours per week)
Role Summary: Responsible for serving beverages, desserts, and salads; preparing dining trays with necessary items; assisting with special meals and events; and maintaining cleanliness in the dining area and kitchen.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide service to residents in dining areas and deliver meals to resident apartments.
- Prepare and set up trays for food carts in the Health Care Center.
- Wrap utensils and prepare beverages.
- Prepare tea and coffee for residents.
- Serve drinks and snacks during meal times.
- Collect and deliver supplemental feedings to nursing staff.
- Assist with late meal deliveries.
- Prepare for and clean up after special events.
- Support kitchen staff with meal preparation as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness of the tray line after each meal service.
- Transport trays to the dishwashing area and ensure cleanliness.
- Operate dishwashing equipment and maintain cleanliness of dishes.
- Keep work areas, including dining tables and equipment, tidy and organized.
- Respect the preferences of residents regarding food.
- Exhibit courtesy and respect towards residents at all times.
- Perform cleaning duties, including sweeping and mopping floors.
- Manage waste disposal and recycling.
- Restock supplies as directed.
- Complete any additional tasks that enhance the efficiency of the department.
