CPM Holdings, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Experiment Specialist to join our team. As an Experiment Specialist, you will play a critical role in supporting innovation efforts and the development of new products, processes, and product enhancements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop new products and processes through research, design, prototype creation, testing, and evaluation
  • Collaborate with engineers to define experiment parameters and methods, organize model setup, and review results
  • Work with team designers and engineers to create prototypes for testing, analysis, and fabrication
  • Test and evaluate prototypes and new processes in light of innovation goals and criteria
  • Fabricate experimental apparatus and setup, utilizing 3D printing and other methods to accelerate design iteration
  • Compile, document, and review data, evaluating performance and updating relevant team members
  • Prepare summary reports and data plots to communicate results and progress
  • Assist in observing and evaluating new technology performance in piloting and plant scenarios
Requirements:
  • Associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school
  • 3 years or more related experience
  • Self-motivated with good written and verbal communication skills
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, customers, and vendors
  • Able to apply logical and scientific thinking to a wide range of innovation and development initiatives
  • Able to communicate design and prototype concepts with sketching and CAD
  • Able to review 3D models and fabrication drawings
  • Able to read, analyze, and interpret complex documents, calculations, and test results
  • Understand and follow oral and written instructions
  • General and working knowledge of chemical and process-modeling software, data acquisition methods, and programming
  • Working knowledge and ability of 3D design and related tools
  • Knowledge and experience in Heat Transfer, Fluid Flow, Structural Mechanics, Dynamics, Systems & Controls, Tribology, Chemistry, and Physics
  • Fluent English communication skills; ability to communicate in a second language – European or Asian languages preferred but not required
  • Ability to travel on a need basis – domestically or internationally and up to 10% of the time
