Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Support Teacher to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading classroom activities, monitoring student behavior, and collaborating with colleagues to deliver high-quality educational experiences. Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead classroom activities several times per week, promoting academic and personal growth among students;">
  • Monitor student behavior, identifying areas of improvement and developing strategies to support individual needs;">
  • Collaborate with colleagues to design and implement engaging lesson plans, ensuring alignment with school curriculum goals;">
  • Supervise students during after-school activities, ensuring their safety and well-being;">
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians, providing regular updates on student progress;">
  • Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities, staying up-to-date with best practices in education;">
  • Assist with administrative tasks, such as maintaining accurate records and supporting event planning;">

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred; relevant experience and qualifications considered;">
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to build strong relationships with students, parents, and staff;">
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability;">
  • Basic technology skills, including proficiency in Google Suite and other educational software;">
  • Self-motivated and proactive problem-solver, with ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines;">
  • Knowledge of child development principles and practices, with understanding of how to create a supportive learning environment;">

Compensation and Benefits:

">

The successful candidate can expect a competitive salary range of $17.50-$20.50 per hour, commensurate with experience. We also offer a range of benefits, including flexible scheduling, 11 federal holidays/school closures, and opportunities for professional development and growth.

About the Role

This is a part-time position, requiring a commitment of approximately 25 hours per week. The successful candidate will be based on-site at our school, working closely with students, parents, and staff to deliver high-quality educational experiences.
