About the Job:

Hollywood Casino St. Louis is seeking a skilled Banquet Server to join our team. As a Banquet Server, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our guests during banquets and events.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up and maintain buffet lines and break areas with proper equipment, supplies, and decor.
  • Set tables with proper silverware, napkins, condiments, centerpieces, and other essentials.
  • Prepare and serve beverages, including coffee, tea, and other specialty drinks.
  • Serve plated meals to guests, ensuring timely and efficient service.
  • Remove used plates, glassware, silverware, and other items from assigned areas.
  • Anticipate and meet the needs of guests throughout the event, providing exceptional service and responding to concerns in a timely manner.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring timely break down of banquet events.
  • Coordinate with Banquet staff and other restaurant personnel to provide excellent guest service.
  • Perform various other duties as assigned, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and trash removal.

Requirements:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Previous Banquet and/or restaurant service experience is required.
  • Knowledge of proper restaurant sanitation procedures is essential.
  • Outgoing personality with exceptional work habits is a must.
  • Must have open availability to work during peak periods, including holidays and special events.
  • Must be able to read and write in English and have good verbal communication skills.
  • Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, and decimals, are required.
  • Ability to respond to visual and aural cues is essential.
  • Ability to maintain a positive attitude and work in mentally and physically stressful situations is required.
  • Able to work independently with little or no direct supervision.
  • Able to multi-task efficiently.
  • Must become TiPS (alcohol awareness) certified.
  • Physically mobile with ability to push, pull, carry, and lift up to 30 lbs., and the ability to reach, bend, twist, stoop, stack, crouch, kneel, and balance when performing job duties in varying work areas.
