Job Summary:

The Banquet Server is responsible for presenting food and beverages to guests, ensuring all guest needs are met, and providing excellent service. As directed, perform bartending duties, including mixing and serving beverages, and setup and tear down of equipment for meetings and food and beverage functions.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Practice and promote the Mission, Vision, and Values of Spokane Tribe Resort & Casino.
  2. Provide service within established policy and procedure, and in accordance with event BEO.
  3. Present food and beverages to guests.
  4. Perform bartending duties as directed.
  5. Provide excellent guest service and promote positive guest relations.
  6. Meet deadlines as needed.
  7. Stock, store, and care for all banquet equipment.
  8. Assist in the washing and stocking of glassware and utensils as needed.
  9. Clean banquet and storage areas as needed.
  10. Ensure banquet areas are clean and restocked.
  11. Smile and engage Guests and Team Members with a positive, professional demeanor.
  12. Create, maintain, and facilitate a positive work environment.
  13. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
  • One (1) year restaurant/deli experience preferred.
  • Obtain and maintain a valid WA State Health Card/Food Handlers Permit.
  • Obtain and maintain a valid MAST certification.
Skills and Abilities:
  • Demonstrate efficient and healthy work habits.
  • Demonstrate knowledge and skill in alcohol safety awareness.
  • Demonstrate working knowledge of P.O.S. systems.
  • Demonstrate effective communication skill both written and verbal.
  • Demonstrate flexibility to work various shifts.
  • Exhibit quick and efficient serving skills.
  • Exhibit working knowledge of health & safety standards, and safety regulations as required.
Work Environment:

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those a team member encounters while performing functions of his/her job and in areas monitored by security or surveillance cameras. Work in casino operations and/or internal or external environments occasionally. Exposure to secondhand smoke, moderate to high noise level, bright lights, fluctuating temperatures/weather conditions.
