We are actively seeking a Taxation Lead with at least 7 years of relevant experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge in tax compliance and strategic planning. Taxation Leads will collaborate with fellow tax professionals to cultivate and enhance client relationships, providing guidance across a comprehensive range of individual, partnership, corporate, and trust and estate tax services. Our firm prioritizes keeping our tax professionals informed about the latest tax practices and legislative changes, ensuring that we deliver profound industry insights to our clients.

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, along with strong interpersonal abilities.
  • Outstanding research capabilities, highly organized, and adept at managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Self-motivated with a proven track record of managing various client engagements.
  • Ability to gain visibility and recognition within your area of expertise.
  • Review client engagement work to ensure adherence to the firm's quality control standards.
  • Keep partners informed about engagement progress, addressing technical, scheduling, and other challenges promptly, and proposing solutions for timely resolution.
  • Actively participate in networking events and maintain connections with industry peers.
  • Effectively communicate technical matters with clients and remain responsive to their requirements.
  • Conduct performance evaluations.
  • Understand the economic aspects of the firm's operations, with direct responsibility for client billing.
  • Support management in policy and procedural decisions and provide assistance to the team.
  • Stay updated on technical and regulatory developments.
  • Assist with additional tasks as needed.
Essential Requirements:
  • Expertise in business taxation, including C and S corporations and partnerships.
  • Experience in individual taxation and tax planning.
  • Knowledge of tax planning strategies for businesses and high-net-worth individuals.
  • Familiarity with multi-state and consolidated tax returns.
  • Previous experience in supervising and mentoring staff and seniors is preferred.
  • Possession of an active CPA license.
Educational Background:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting; a Master of Taxation is preferred.
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in a public accounting firm or related field.
